  I always wanted to lose weight and tried so many different things. With every new method I tried I would end up losing about five pounds and later gaining it again, it was really frustrating.  Finally I discovered that with consistent exercise and healthy eating habits I could lose all the weight I wanted without gaining it again. Exercise is one of the best ways to lose weight, and it also improves your health. I feel so much better and more energetic.

  My name is Nikeya Hanes, and I am not what people typically think of as “fat” or “over-weight”. As my husband affectionately states, “You are not fat, you have fat.” But of course being a woman I think, “umm-hmm, same thing”. I have always liked to eat a lot, ever since I can remember, but I was very active in high school and in college so it was not such a big deal. Well, needless to say I got married, became less active and gradually put on 35 pounds over a span of 5 years. I didn’t really notice because it was a very slow process, but I finally told myself I will not buy another size up in my favorite pair of jeans. I am still not where I want to be, but thanks to D & M Fitness I can say I am more physically fit than I have been in my entire life. I have only reached the first milestone on my lifelong journey to a healthy lifestyle.

"I started working out with Marilyn about 4 years ago. I had never been a member of a gym, never ran more than two minutes nor had I ever lifted a dumbbell.  After a few training sessions I was HOOKED!! I lifted weights throughout my second pregnancy and last year I ran a half-marathon.   "Hello Don and Marilyn,

I came across your business card in my wallet; I decided to go online to look at your web-site.  The web-site is wonderful!  I saw those "Boot Camp" pictures, they brought back memories!

I completed my 12wks of exercise training  in April 2005 with a trainer whom is not apart of your group.  However, I must give you (Marilyn) and Don credit where credit is due and Connie, too....When I implemented your  "Boot Camp" Program into my exercise program (1-day per week for 6 weeks), I stepped into a whole different ZONE!  The running, the exercises, that you designed for boot camp taught me to push myself  to another level. The inches and pounds began to melt off,  more so than with just my regular trainer/exercises.   The following day after each boot camp training, I was sore, yet, I never felt so energized and alive.  Believe it or not I could not wait until the next week of  "Boot Camp".

What I really like about you two is that you are God fearing, real genuine people, and you really LOVE what you do.  I've always admired how you two are always willing to help your clients as well as non-clients, maintain a healthy life style.  Keep on encouraging and advising, you never know who's lives you are changing.  I have managed to keep the weight off and still losing....I hope to come and join your "boot camp" program again during my hibernating months. (Dec-Feb).

  "It has been a real pleasure to have Don and Marilyn as personal trainers.  They are great motivators and have really kept me on track.  Since I started with them four months ago I have lost 43 lbs and 10% body fat.  I have struggled for so long with weight and have found the perfect solution, D and M Fitness.  I can actually run for two to three miles with stopping.  Not to bad for a 345 lb guy.  The cardio is tough, the weight lifting is painful and the ab exercises absolutely stink but with Don and Marilyn near by to push me along, coming back tomorrow is something I can't wait for.  Thank you for changing my life."
